The Storm glass will mysteriously predict the weather: visible crystals mean wet and foggy weather, a cloudy glass with small crystals will tell you a thunderstorm is on its way, and a clear glass will mean clear weather.

How does it work?

More reliable than your weather app and simpler than observing clouds and stars, the storm glass is (extremely) easy to use.

  • Place the storm glass in a cool place near a window, but away from direct sunlight, heating, or air conditioning.
  • Observe the crystals forming, or not.

Clear liquid: good weather
Cloudy liquid: rainy weather (even stormy)
Flaky crystals: snowy weather
Streaks of crystals: windy weather
The cloudier the liquid and the more crystals form, the worse the weather will be.
The higher the crystals, the colder it is.

Note: It will take 1 to 2 weeks after receipt for the storm glass to be fully operational. Be careful not to touch or move it, as this would distort its predictions!
